The American Medical Association has determined that physicians not licensed in the US who participate in this CME activity are eligible for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. ACCME / AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM carry reciprocity with EACCME member countries and most international licensing bodies for physicians, with some exceptions. The EACCME® has signed agreements with the following countries: Austria, Armenia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Finland, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Latin America (See below), Lombardia, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Tunisia, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States CONFEMEL (Confederación médica latinoiberoamericana y del caribe) is the organization that represents and is made up of all the titular medical institutions with national representation, the founding institutions and the adherents of the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean. The countries of Latin America and the Caribbean within the scope of the agreement between UEMS-EACCME® , CONFEMEL and CGCOM-SEAFORMEC will be divided by regions for the operation of CONFEMEL, being the same: Andean Region: Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela; Central American and Caribbean Region: Costa Rica, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, El Salvador, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Panama and Puerto Rico, among others; South Region: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay. The EACCME® shall grant ECMEC® credits to National events taking place in Latin America and organised by Latin American providers part of or belonging to CONFEMEL. The applications related to National events shall be submitted through the SEAFORMEC/SMPAC platform for accreditation according to the agreement entered into between UEMS-EACCME® and CGCOM.
Objectives
After Attending This Program You Should Be Able To
1. Identify recent discoveries in basic, translational, and clinical research in glomerular biology and glomerular diseases;2. Identify new research questions based on current scientific and clinical advances in disciplines related to glomerular biology and glomerular diseases
3. Translate recent advances in the aforementioned areas into new standards and approaches to clinical care of patients with glomerular diseases and related disorders.
