EVENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS
“Attendee” for purposes of these Terms will include all participants at the Event. By participating in this Event, you agree to these Terms so please read them carefully.
By registering for an Event sponsored by the International Society of Glomerular Disease [ISGD], and for and in consideration of the International Society of Glomerular Disease and any additional sponsors allowing me to register, attend, and participate in the Event, I, for myself and on behalf of my spouse, children, guardians, heirs and next of kin, and any legal personal representatives, executors, administrators, successors and assigns, hereby agree to release; waive; covenant not to sue; and assume all risk of transportation, attendance, or participation in any or all activities of the Event. I further agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Sponsors, their employees, officers, directors, administrators, agents, instructors, speakers, members, other participants, sponsoring agencies, hosting hotel/convention center/venue—all of which are hereafter referred to as “Released Parties”—from any and all liability for any and all claims; judgments; costs, including attorney's fees; demands; losses; or damages on account of injury, death, or damage to property incurred in connection with any action brought in any way connected with the Event, except when caused by the negligence of Released Parties. This agreement is specifically intended to operate as a waiver of liability to the fullest extent allowed by law. I hereby acknowledge that I have read and agree to be bound by the terms of this Release.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
By registering or participating in the Event, you acknowledge the highly contagious nature of COVID-19 and its variants (collectively referred to here as “COVID-19”), and that a risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present.
You understand that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 during or after the Event may result from the actions or inactions of others who may attend the Event or their families, colleagues, or anyone else with whom they may have contact.
By attending this Event, you and your guests voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 and all other risks from participating in the Event, and you (and they) hereby release the Sponsors, representatives from any responsibility or liability for any illness, disability, or injury (including death) or other damages you may sustain, whether due to COVID-19 or any other cause in connection with participating in the Event.
In addition to complying with all other Event rules regarding this meeting, you agree to comply with all COVID-related health and safety protocols that may be implemented during the Event.
Regardless of vaccination or test result status, you acknowledge and agree that you will not attend the Event or enter the venue if at that time you (i) are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 (including but not limited to a cough, shortness of breath, fever or any other symptom associated with COVID-19), (ii) have a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19, or (iii) prior to the Event you have come into contact with a person who has been confirmed to have or suspected of having COVID-19. You further acknowledge and agree that you will immediately cease participation in the Event if at any time during the Event you begin experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, test positive for COVID-19, or believe you are no longer in proper physical condition to participate in the Event.
You acknowledge and agree that the meeting organizers and/or the meeting venue may remove you from the Event (without any compensation to you) if you fail to cooperate in any way.
This event is organized by the International Society of Glomerular Disease which reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to limit or deny access to any entity or individual.
FORCE MAJEURE
After the cancellation cutoff date, payments made are not refundable for any reason, including, but not limited to, failure to use conference attendance credentials due to illness or due to any event beyond the reasonable control of the parties, such as an act of God, natural disaster, travel-related problems, or an act of terrorism.
PRIVACY
All personal information provided by participants is handled in compliance with the Privacy Policy of the International Society of Glomerular Disease.
The registration form for this event asks you to indicate whether you consent to the use of photos and recordings of you for additional purposes of marketing, publicity, and news articles related to the event. Consent to these additional purposes is not a condition of participation.
