
I attended Haverford College and University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. I completed my residency training at Tufts-New England Medical Center and Bronx Municipal Hospital Center and my fellowship in Pediatric Nephrology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. I was Professor of Clinical Pediatrics and chief of the Division of Pediatric Nephrology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and NYU Langone Health from December 2011 until June 2021. I have been the PI of NIDDK and industry sponsored clinical trials in glomerular disease and am a Co-Investigator in the NEPTUNE and CureGN observational cohort studies. I am the Co-PI on ongoing studies evaluating the impact of environmental chemical exposures on kidney development and disease progression in children and adults with CKD. I am on the Medical Advisory Board of the Alport Syndrome Foundation, on the editorial board of Kidney360, Glomerular Diseases, and Pediatric Nephrology and on the Board of Directors of the Kidney Health Initiative (KHI).
